The death of someone close is a major event which is likely to affect all of us at some point in our life. Coping with the normal responses of grief can be very difficult. Feelings of grief can also happen because of other types of loss or changes in circumstances, for example:
You may have feelings of loneliness and isolation, experience anger, fear or guilt as well as helplessness and/or physical aches and pains. It can be overwhelming. Friends and relatives may be around for support, however, it can be difficult if they too are grieving. If you find that the sadness and distress is not abating talking to an experienced bereavement counsellor could help you.
